food not bombs

 •
More than just a vegan cookbook! ANOTHER DINNER IS POSSIBLE is a unique two in one cook book and guidebook featuring over 250 recipes for food that's simple but full of flavour. This is the third version we have printed the first was printed at Calverts Coop in London, the second in the US as a co-publish with AK Press and this new hardback version is printed in Croatia.

ANOTHER DINNER IS POSSIBLE is used by activists all over the world (two people took it to anti-cap catering kitchens in Rio) to make good food taste great. Plus articles and guides to reconnecting with the food we eat, how food affects us on all levels of our lives, and some things we can do to develop a better relationship to it. All recipes are written for 2 to 6 people but there is information about cooking on a large scale and recipes that are suitable for this are indicated throughout.

The book is printed on high quality glossy recycled paper and is wire bound so stays flat on your work top whilst cooking. Illustrated throughout. This third edition and has been corrected and updated to make it friendly to people over the pond (US): this means that things are also measured in cups. Like, put a coffee mug of flour and a teacup of sugar... possibly.

 •
Over the years the Anarchist Teapot mobile kitchen was often asked for advice on mass catering. I got tired of writing the same stu over and over again in emails, so I took it on to compile an info booklet. I thought about 10 people would be interested in it, but we've printed and reprinted countless copies. For some bizarre reason, there seems to be a lot of you interested in cooking massive pots of vegan food. So here's a new and updated reprint.

Some things had gone a bit out of date, and I've also tried to re-organise the zine so it'd be more useful for cooking in different settings, not just a field. Plus some disclaimers to start with —this is entirely based on our own, specific experiences, and what I'd say if you asked me, how do I cook for 150 people?

It's also entirely based on our own motivations to cook. To us, it's not to do with making profits or even paying ourselves, but entirely to do with wanting to fulfil a role in the communities we build when we engage in grassroots resistance to the status quo. And we've found feeding people delicious food is a great way of consolidating community.
